Mary Kay Bergman

SoulGeek.com was created in loving memory of my 1st wife Mary Kay Bergman out of a deep need to make something good come out of tragedy. It was my hope that every couple brought together on the site, every new love, would thus become a lasting part of Mary Kay’s legacy. New love where there was pain, new life where life had ended. I believe we succeeded in that.

 

It is however important not to end it there but reach out to anyone visiting this tribute site who may be in need of help as Mary Kay did.

 

Sadly, despite her kind and loving nature or her great success as a voice actress Mary Kay Bergman suffered in secret until November 11th 1999 when she took her own life. She must have believed her suicide would end her suffering. She was wrong… she merely passed it on to me. Thankfully, after years of struggle, I’ve survived to truly enjoy life again. Sadly, many like me are not so lucky.

 

Mary Kay believed that she was alone, that no one could understand what she was going though, and that no one could understand her pain and suffering. Again, she was wrong.

 

And so, I make this plea to anyone who is suffering in silence from mental pain, depression, anxiety, bi-polar disorders, etc… you are NOT alone. People do understand what you are going through. There IS help. If you are considering suicide your pain will not end, it will only be passed on to those who love you most. Help is waiting. Speak out. Let us help you choose life.
