|My SOULGEEK Self:||
I'm a typical gamer geek, a little shy at first but a romantic at heart. I love to make people laugh and to laugh in return. I enjoy reading, writing, and science fiction. I help support my parents, so I still live at home. Family is important to me. You will not find anyone who is more loyal, caring, and loving in a serious relationship. I enjoy writing, reading, and Roleplaying games, both the video and the group variety. Currently learning the 4th edition rules and working on my first DM quests. So feel free to write if your looking for a geeky friend, or maybe something more.
|The SoulGeek I'm Looking For:||
I want a woman who's into a quiet evening at home or long walks rather than a party animal. Someone who can talk as well as listen and enjoys a good laugh. I'm looking for a person who I can snuggle into and watch a movie or some Co-Op gaming. Kind, caring, compassionate, but also silly. The Bella to my Edward...or the mongoose to my snake...I don't really know animals. Someone who will understand my lack of dating experience and be open, honest, and forgiving if I screw up. If you fit this description and want to go on a simple adventure, drop me a line. :)
|Ideally, if I could be any character from the worlds of Sc-Fi, Horror & Fantasy I would be:||
|But I'm probably more like:||
|In a Nutshell|
|I'm Into:||Science Fiction, Horror, Fantasy, Animation, Anime, Comic Books, Manga, Webcomics, Video Gaming, Fan-Fic, Fan-Art, Film Scores|
|My Other Car is:||a Broomstick|
|Why I love Sci-Fi, Horror, Fantasy, Animation, etc...||
Science Fiction - It's makes us think of who we are and where we may go. It even spurs us on to create the technology we see or read and make them a reality (Look at Kirk's Tricorder and tell me that's not a cell phone)
Horror - Everyone likes to be scared and afraid every once in a while. Where else are you going to watch some monster/killer take down some jerk in a splash of blood and gore and not be hauled in for questioning?
Fantasy - Fantasy is a desire to return to a more mystical time and perhaps be more noble and brave than we truly feel. Besides it's nice to get away from the real world to somewhere good always wins in the end.
Animation - I don't care if a show is animated, real actors, or sock puppets, if it's a good story and it makes me laugh, think, or feel, I'll watch it. (well maybe sock puppets I would mind, but you get the idea.)
Anime - Anime is different and usually has a deep emotional or intellectual plot. Anything that can make me think, feel, or see things differently is definitely watchable
Comic Books - I think comic books appeal to us the same way fantasy does. We desire to be more than what we are and we relate to super heroes/heroines because we want to battle evil and make the world a better place. Either that or we want to take over the world...
|Some of my SCI-FI Favorites include:||
Star Wars, Star Trek, Aliens, Predator, Space Balls.
|Some of my FANTASY favorites include:||
Harry Potter (the books, not the movies) Lord of the Rings (The movies not the books), The DragonLance series. The one I love most and introduced me to the genre is, of course "Willow". *glances left to right* I also read Twilight occasionally
|Some of my HORROR favorites include:||
Nightmare on Elm St, Friday the 13th, Resident Evil (first movie), Saw. If it makes me jump out of my seat or at least squirm a little, I like it. Blood and gore are nice, but without the sense of foreboding, I'd probably just laugh at the fake gut.
|Some of my ANIMATION-ANIME favorites include:||
Animation - South Park (It's vulgar,but at least they touch on topical stuff), Robot Chicken, Avatar: The Last Airbender. Huge fan of the DC cartoons, like classic 1990's Batman. Even a few Nick-Toons TV shows when I am watching my nieces and nephews
Anime - Dragonball, Full Metal Alchemist, Afro Samurai, Naruto. I also liked Princess Monoke and Spirited Away. If I didn't mention your favorite, I'll gladly check it out.
|Some of my COMIC BOOK/MANGA/WEBCOMIC favorites include:||
Webcomics - Something Positive is my all-time favorite webcomic. I've been recently turned on to Ctrl+Alt+Del. Also Least I Can Do and Looking For Group, Punch N Pie, Queen of Wands, Striptease, Sore thumbs and a few dozen more more
Comic Books - Admittedly I don't read comics religiously, but I love the Titans series as well as Batman and Superman. I'm more DC than Marvel, but then again I adore much of the back story of Marvel super heroes (Venom's origin's, The Punisher, etc).
Manga - Huge Akira Toriyama fan, Naruto is awesome as well as Bleach. It's obvious I like Shonen Jump, but I am always looking for good manga where ever I can find it
|Some of my GAMING favorites include:||
Video Games - I am a huge Fable fan, DragonQuest VIII, Harvest Moon and it's cousin Rune Factory, Metroid, Smash Bros. I like Dead Space, Blue Dragon, and Mass Effect. As a warning, I do play World of Warcraft but unlike most, I choose girl over raids every time.
Role Playing Games - Dungeons and Dragons, World of Darkness, and Godlike are the ones I have played, but I am always interested in others
|Some of my FILM, TV etc... SCORING favorites include:||
John Williams is always great. Bruce Faulconer is one I am currently listening to often. Howard Shore is also excellent.
|My Non-Geek Stuff|
|Some of the NON-GEEK stuff I enjoy:||Exercise, Theme Parks, Outdoor Stuff, Trying to Take Over the World|
