"Self-realization. I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates, who said, "I drank what?"

Hi. Like everyone else here I'm awesome! Besides, I wouldn't want to be left out of the herd right? And of course the almost obligatory..."I enjoy going out for a night on the town but also like those quiet times at home snuggled up...." Honestly, who's gonna say they DON'T like that stuff?

Although I really do like the whole "Pina Colada Song" thing, and would hope someday to find someone who does too. I'm an online gamer (FPS mostly but have come to appreciate MMOs too). You can place me somewhere in the casual-to-competative catagory, about two steps short of hardcore. Which is to say I recognize there are things in life besides PvP.

I'm just your everyday Average-Joe type Guy with an atypical history. Ok, more traveled than most lets say.

A SciFi addict (Pournelle, Drake, Ringo, Weber, Flint, Stirling, etc etc) but my interests are pretty much covered by anything I haven't seen or heard yet. The more offbeat or esoteric the better. Let's see...anime, manga, schlock horror (Troma Films anyone?), politics, history, etc etc. From the pathetically profound to the somberly mundane, I have an interest in it. This mirrors my fascination with people which follows the same tangent.

If you look up Aquarius, and make note of the character traits, you'll find I pretty much fit it to a "T", which is pretty amusing.

I've never written one of these before, but here goes...

I guess it'd be easier to talk more about what I'm into instead of just me personally. I'm just an aspiring student that's only really starting to get my bearings on what I want to do in the adult world.

I love writing and RPing as a hobby, and I can't help but gush over certain stories and soundtracks in games and shows I get into. I started practicing the piano a couple months ago, and I'm really passionate over voice over work and hope to work my way into the field by trying to grow out of my shell and pursue theater and any online opportunities I can find with the right equipment.

Translation differences and language are also fun to talk about. I'm currently studying Japanese and it's a long road ahead. I wish talking about things like differences between dubs and subs wasn't the equivalent of trying to defuse a time bomb before it explodes; it's interesting looking into the differences in dialogue both versions have, talking about the performances both casts had, and debating which version was better, for fun! All that can be done without sparking a fight over differing opinions, but I've learned from experience that it's a rare thing to see on the Internet, and it really bums me out sometimes.

I've never that great at in-person conversations, but trying to be more social's been a goal I've had for a while! I get a little anxious when I'm in public talking to people, and if it ever comes to that, I can only really say I'm sorry in advance.

But I'd love to talk and hope to overcome that! I was never the social type growing up, and it's been a weakness I know I've had for the longest time that I'm willing to try and change. Things will only stay the same unless you take that first step forward and keep moving from there.

The more comfortable I am with someone, the less filtered I become.

I am openly geek but clean up nicely. I love the usual suspects...Star Trek, Star Wars, Game of Thrones, John Carter of Mars, Iron Man and Marvel. I am a huge music fan, especially PROG rock, classic rock, Jazz and swing, metal, classical and film scores. I am also a karaoke whore and want to learn swing dancing. Lastly...I have a background in filmmaking and write screenplays when I am not busy with my day job. And yes...I am also a dog lover with 2 rescue basset hounds.

Geek, but very presentable in public.

I don't see the glass as half empty or half full - the glass is the size it needs to be. We need air to breath and water to drink. The glass is perfect as is. I am fine by myself, but would be perfect with you.

I am the CTO of a small software consulting company. I've done a lot of first things in my career; I even used to be involved in Virtual Reality. I loved space and science fiction from when I grew up - I brought a rocket ship to show and tell at the age of 5 and said I wanted to be an astronaut.

Now I go in spirit.

Right, I'm a pretty traditional geek-guy, was a huge Star Wars geek until the prequels cured me but the old arcane knowledges refuse to be forgotten.

I am down for just about any type of tabletop gaming, I'm in 3 tabletop RPG groups right now, and my Steam library has like 200+ games that I have never touched (Thanks a lot Humble Bundles).

Currently Playing Vermintide2 on Steam...not like right this second but...ya'know...maybe right this second.

Oh umm I make beer. I'm not like weird about it, it's just a hobby, a thing that I like to do. I try to brew beer that people who dislike beer will enjoy.

I'm a computer technician by day and gamer by night. I enjoy almost all forms of gaming including board games and pen and paper. When I find the time, I also love to watch geeky shows and read whatever grabs my interest. I love the Discworld novels and the Batman and Sandman comics. I'm eagerly waiting for the next Dr. Who episode and recently watched the entire Avatar TV show.

As for me, I'm generally outspoken and always willing to have a lively discussion. I really enjoy sharing my favorite hobbies/shows/books with anyone who will listen and like getting suggestions for new things to experience.

I'm 26 and have been a nerd/geek from the age of 4 when I first sat down and watched Star Wars. From then on I was pulled into this glorious universe of so many fandoms and people just like me. I am passionate about Star Wars and it has been a constant source of happiness and comfort in my life. I love comics, video games, music, tabletop gaming, prop building, cosplay and more. I love Star Trek as well and am a member of Starfleet International, where I serve as regional correspondent and security officer aboard the USS Tydirium. My day job is Customer Support, which I enjoy, however my true job passion is writing and I am currently writing a book with a view to have it finished by the end of the year. I am very laid back and would rather chill at home than go out partying. I love my friends and family and spend as much time with them as I can. I want to do what I can to help others and try to leave a legacy behind.

Hey, I'm Tom. I'm a game designer and musician with a healthy amount of wanderlust.
My life right now mostly consists of making music, learning things and making games so I can afford to run around and do fun things. I do conventions now and then and I like travelling about!

My favourite things are music, reading, grandiloquent words, animation, science, art and design, video/tabletop games, adventures and crazy dreams. I also enjoy cooking.

Older, fully operational, creative star with notions of grandeur, feet firmly planted in the gravity well, head soaring to distant lands, worlds, cultures, and ideas.

I'm a fit and trim, gamer-otaku-programmer-writer-designer, with education in software engineering and human sexuality. Am resisting combining them, though.

I'm 'doors' friendly, in and out. Love to hike, camp, body surf, snorkel, and kayak. Love to curl up with a hundred episodes of Legends of the Galactic Heroes, or all 13 of Jessica Jones, as the mood suits, or read another book.

I can sit at a computer and write stories, code in all the popular C dialects, (though Python is my mistress and muse) and design game mechanics, all the live long days. I'm independent and successful. I love my job!

Say hello, and let's talk about hex.

I'm into a little bit of everything, but really, I'm more geeky than anything. I enjoy board games, video games, roleplaying games, and card games. As a hobby, I design each of them as well, but haven't come close to publishing yet.

I'm incredibly caring, loving, and attentive. I get along with everyone and do a lot of different things from day to day, but I really just want to be with my significant other if I have one.
