The GF sends me a “word-A-Day” thing via the emails thing that all the kids are usin’ these days.   And today’s word was “Troglodyte”.  Now, being of a certain generation, the first - I mean the first thing that came to mind was The Jimmy Castor Bunch song, circa 1972.  I was a weeeeeee childer at the time, but I remember it well because of the bodacious Bertha Butt.

So, I checked the YouTubes, like you do these days, right?   And of course I found it.  Not just the song, but the silliest little video to the original track that cracked. Me. Up.  Here it is:

My niece got married this weekend. Therefore, the prep work I usually do on Saturday or Sunday for Tuesday was not done.

Nonetheless, I’m not sorry.

Few brides are as gorgeous as my “Neese” was. And few men are lucky enough to stand next to someone that Bride Magazine perfect as her wonderful man was. And with all the divorces and extended mishpucha as were in attendance, (including my own wonderful ex, whom both my adult nieces still refer to as their “cool aunt” ) I have seldom seen family at one of these events more sincerely determined to have a good time at no one’s expense, and to welcome all and sundry with open arms as I did on this past Saturday and Sunday. I was very proud of all my family and our blood and incidental relations.

And, given that this next page starts an important new arc, and that there is a whole new set, and some (frankly, if I do say so myself) pretty cool and sexy new wardrobe for the major characters and all, I am in no mood to short-change anything. It will go up tomorrow night.

I just checked and the last time the regular gallery was updated was over a year ago. Wow!
