And maybe it’s just me, but her majesty looks like she’s got a bun in the oven. Plus that’s an “interesting” view in the second panel. I wouldn’t want a birds sharp beak that close to my eye!

Ah, the bodacious Queen of the Moon Tribe herself. You can see where both our gals get their looks-and figures. Mentl better be really careful if he’s asked to sing again-I think this Queen’s gonna be harder to resist if she’s “charmed” by Mentl’s musical “talents” the way the Queen of Normos was…

Uhl: after bearing two children, most of us ladies get a slight paunch. Actually, most of us have a slight bulge there even without the babies. The “dress” just accentuates it. Let’s cut the lady some slack.

It’s true even for men, the lower abdominals are very hard to effectively isolate with sit-ups and crunches. Leg-lifts and inverted sit-ups are the only way I’ve found to specifically target those areas.
Not but what I couldn’t do with more work in that area…:-/

Have to say, Erogenan magic has to be something if the Queen doesn’t have backache from carrying those around! I wonder how many microseconds it will take the Queen to size Mentl up?

Hey you know I have always wanted to say this ….but Zona and her mom look alot like Briget Nielson. I’m glad Mentl does not look like Flavor Flav (no offence) nor Arnold or Stallone for that matter. As a leading character you have made him quite uniqe.

Ippola isn’t preggers, she’s just never been subjected to the Hollywood/Madison Avenue/tabloid propaganda that if you aren’t anorexic, then you’re a bloated sow (Sorry, pet peeve). Yeesh her breasts, are bigger than bowling balls! (probably another side affect of two kids, although if Zona’s any measure they were probably huge to start with).
I think Ipolla will also be more resistant to Mentl’s magic than a normal woman.

Thanks for all the comments! Uhl, Queen Ipola is not pregnant. She’s 46 and has had two kids. Even so, I would say that while the lady has some curves (and the JED Standard Issue DD-cups) she still would only be considered rubenesque when compared to her twenty-something athletic daughters.
Moox - As those who caught some of the inferences in “The King Is Dead” might have guessed, Ipola has some magick of her own. Before her dad and siblings got into the out-of-hand imbroglio that cost them their lives, she was never considered for the throne and was actually on the fast track to priesthood. She never took her vows, though, and became the Mistress of the Silver Tower instead.
bluesdifuse - The design for all three of them goes back to the original illustrations I did in the Pleistocene, and no direct resemblance to actors living or dead (or with dead careers) was intended.
As to her attitude to her eldest girl’s new boyfriend, I hope she likes him, don’t you? We’ll have to wait a few pages to see, though …

That view is pin-up worthy, in my humble opinion…
Although that appearance does explain some things, seriously, Erogenia must be a world power with those weapons of mass *distraction*. I can definitley see how Ipola can use both wit, strength, and feminine wiles in politics with a body like that.

Mentl is in for -such- doom once he sees Zona’s mom, with Zona standing right next to him. I’m not sure if the modern American male mind can handle that level of feminine awesome all at once up close ^_^

“Shotgun” most certainly wasn’t a love song. And I double co-sign the positive comments made by firegoat and Tricksterson about Ipola’s fine figure-it’s realistic for a head of state with two adult children.

Well, she probably does work out somewhat but come on, without plastic surgery, how many women that age with multiple kids under their belt look that good. maybe a few, who take care of themselves and to whom the genetic lottery has been very kind to but not many. And cantelopes? More like watermelons.

I am wondering what mentl will sing as well, and cannot wait to see. The females definitely won the genetic lottery in this family. Barbaric tribes might be a little more vague as to where to slot Mentl into their “family”.
I am assuming everyone caught the gaurd in the gatehouse hopefully in love with our Zona? Can Mentl share? Does he want to? He grew up in the 60’s after all so he might have some necessary background to consider the possiblility. Hopefully this tower gaurd is Not the jealous type, I don’t think so but there is a difference btw loosing the person you love to someone “of your own kind” vs. some strange person who is so completely different.

Back when Tula is first introduced there was a bit of dialogue “Tula: What about Rannik? Zona: WHat about him?” or something like that. I thinkl that what Mentl thinks is moot - if Zona isn’t interested in antone else then that’s it!

Prof. Mentl didn’t grow up in the 60’s. If you remember, it was his parents that exposed him to the Trogs, Beatles, etc. while growing up. Similar to me. I was born in ‘73 but my Mom played folk guitar. So I grew up hearing Peter, Paul, and Mary, Simon & Garfunkel, etc. from her music collection and her playing. Ad that to 80’s and 90’s Pink Floyd, Queen, Sublime, Barenaked Ladies, Bon Jovi, NIN, and you have what’s probably a similar mix of musical tastes to Mentl.

Hmm, something struck me as I was running late this morning… You said the women get a standard double DD, but most seems to be more like F,G or H to me. :/ Of course not knowning how big they are around the chest it’s hard to judge, but I’d still put them over DD. (For the guys: cupsize and chest size are depended on each other).

Long time reader, first time poster. Her boobs are *WAY* too big. I know that big barbarian boobs are part of your appeal but, come on, they are borderline obscene. Besides, if everything has giant tits, it kinda loses its impact.

Valsorath - thanks for your comment, but I am not changing the design of my characters to the plus or minus to suit anyone’s tastes but my own. I hope you continue to enjoy the comic despite your misgivings. Also, the angle of the render tends to accentuate the queen’s prominent features. The vote incentive gives you a slightly different view, and I hope you’ll check it out.

This is my first time reading through the archives, and my first impression is that this woman looks quite a bit like Sigourney Weaver.
