Geek Mixer In Hollyweird.
To all you Soulgeek members who are in Los Angeles, there’s going to be a Singles Night at Ten Forward at Hollywood and Vine on the evening of July 11. Go to the Soulgeek home page to get all the details, but there’s going to be guests Richard Hatch, the original Apollo from Battlestar Galactica as well as having a recurring character role in the latest series. Also, voice actor Crispin Freeman. Notably, Ben Paddon, who creates Jump Leads will be there.
And me, too, BTW.
Gad, Hollywood. Back in the Stone Age I lived on Wilcox near Santa Monica Blvd, and Hollywood was my stompin’ grounds. They’ve actually cleaned the place up a bit since then, but it is still a very strange alternate reality. And I cannot imagine it will be any less strange with a roomful of single geeks. The mind boggles.
So, any of you kids that are local, check it out. I am hoping that they serve rum. My luck it’s just lattes and chai tea. I may die of healthy drinking …

Hi there my Friend;
Wish I could go. I am still not mobile……. Grandma syndrome with my wheelie McGiger! It would be nice to see some comments (and some pictures perhaps) on the meet up site for those of us who are not able to attend.
Have Fun!

Ahh, the people you know will be somewhere when you do not have a shotgun…
(Richard Hatch… If only the cylons had got the git in the first episode…)
(Maybe they could also have got the idiots who wrote the current remake (Which could have been soooo good if they had heard of actually planning their story arc in advance instead of RANDOMLY making it up on the fly.)
Would be worth going to meet the Great Zona writer… but alsa,, it is a few thousand KM away.)

Shame, I used to live in California, it would’ve been great to get to meet you.
I hope all the rum is not gone.
Zona is an amazing webcomic, thank you for it!
