I need a new computer.  This little beast and I have had a good three years or so together, but she’s tired, and her sound board has never worked, anyway.   And because my pride has been worn away by age, I am now willing to beg y’all for a little assistance.

But because I have yet some pride in these perilous times, such a deal I’ll make you:

If you even suspect that that is too small for you, don’t ask for an Extra Large, because I’m out. On the other hand, if I get enough donations specifically for them, then I can afford a new run of just XL.

To all you Soulgeek members who are in Los Angeles, there’s going to be a Singles Night at Ten Forward at Hollywood and Vine on the evening of July 11. Go to the Soulgeek home page to get all the details, but there’s going to be guests Richard Hatch, the original Apollo from Battlestar Galactica as well as having a recurring character role in the latest series. Also, voice actor Crispin Freeman. Notably, Ben Paddon, who creates Jump Leads will be there.

And me, too, BTW.

Gad, Hollywood. Back in the Stone Age I lived on Wilcox near Santa Monica Blvd, and Hollywood was my stompin’ grounds. They’ve actually cleaned the place up a bit since then, but it is still a very strange alternate reality. And I cannot imagine it will be any less strange with a roomful of single geeks. The mind boggles.

So, any of you kids that are local, check it out. I am hoping that they serve rum. My luck it’s just lattes and chai tea. I may die of healthy drinking …

Right now I am posting to you and rendering on a new HP with a 2.4Ghz AMD quad-core processor, 8GB of RAM and a nice 750G hard drive.  I also am looking at this on a new 23inch widescreen monitor.  All of which you guys helped me buy.   Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I still hate Vista, but that’s not your fault.  And I am hoping we can do something about that, too, soon.

I can still always use money.  And the contribution button will stay up.  In the coming months the current rewards will still be there and I will be adding other stuff from the backlog I have, including the original Erogenian gaming supplement from back when I was good-looking, as well as the Rules For Sex In RPGs. (Yes, it’s an actual system, and it actually can work.  The playtesting was the MOST uncomfortable gaming experience I’ve ever had.  Best to just treat it as satire.)
