   I love how Tethik admires the person who set him up. It’s almost certainly not Maldik (he’s not smart enough) so I wonder who else has it out for our friend.

   My guess would be Gorshach, as part of his temporary alliance with Maldik. And I’d also guess that while it was Gorshach’s plan, Maldik was all too happy to order it done (after all, it would look too suspicious having an Urrt sneaking around Tethik’s rooms, right?)

   My alternative guess is some other clever member of the royal court we haven’t met, maybe someone with their own designs on the throne.

   Yes, Maldik isn’t nearly smart enough to poison only one cup…he would poison both, thus ensuring that an outside agency would be implicated.
