   This is key. Until now, this story would have progressed to this moment with or without the presence of Mentl. But now his very exsistence in this world has gained meaning and purpose. Mentyl saves Zona.

   No matter what follows, it all is thanks, in part, to this one defining act.

   Ya know to be wielding that one handed Mentl must be stronger than he looks. If that is in fact the cast iron frying pan it looks like. Those are really heavy

   Adrenalin and rage will do wonders for something like that.

   Thats weird, cause when ever I have rage and adrenalin my body gets very weak.

   Hmm, I get like three times stronger(purely estimate here) and can be quite scary despite my slim nature.
   That is if I actually truly lost it. Got too much self control to do that.

   When I was 13 I experienced Bezerker rage. Very scary. He was three times my size, and it took 5 guys to pull me off of his battered body, and they were twice my size. (I was tiny for 13.)

   Ah, yes. Never had it go quite that far since I’ve been able to stop myself again. And I since then learned greater self control. That kind of rage _is_ rather scary.

   Re the adrenaline, BTDT quite a few times. You get strength and fast reflexes, but you get really weak and sick as it drains away when the danger is over. If you get the adrenaline fix but don’t use it, you still ger the weakness as it drains.

   The only thing that bothers me here is that Mentl waded through a MESS of Urtt bodies and their discarded weapons and he picks up a FRYING PAN?!!

   The frying pan will make a much better story later, but it’s not too bright at the time.

    @Sarge: But he doesn’t know how to wield all those weapons. He could lop off his own fool head. (And, brave and noble as this action is, it is also a bit foolish.) But a frying pan, THAT he knows how to handle.

    And yes, it will make for a much better story, and he is an entertainer at heart.
