Amusingly, Yatta-ta has a few different connotations!
1) The sound a trumpet makes before a charge–appropriate
2) ‘Yatta’ is a Japanese exclamation of success or triumph, like ‘I did it!’–also appropriate
3) The sound made when the ‘hero’ of an epic arrives on stage.–appropriate, since Yatta always appears as if out of nowhere, considers himself a ‘heroic knight’ type, etc. and talks like he’s in a play made of HAM.
